Child Safety Standards
Khetha: Intentional Dating ("Khetha") is an adults-only dating service. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page sets out our standards against CSAE, in line with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and applicable child safety laws.
1. Khetha is for adults only (21+)
Khetha is strictly for people aged 21 and older. Anyone under 21 is not permitted to create an account or use the service. We collect each user's date of birth at sign-up and enforce a minimum age of 21. Accounts we discover to belong to minors are removed.
2. Definitions
CSAE means child sexual abuse and exploitation: content or behaviour that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children — including grooming a child for sexual exploitation, sextortion of a child, trafficking of a child for sex, or otherwise sexually exploiting a child.
CSAM means child sexual abuse material: any visual depiction — including photographs, videos, and computer-generated imagery — involving a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
3. Our zero-tolerance standard
CSAE and CSAM are strictly prohibited on Khetha, in every form, anywhere in the Khetha community. This prohibition is part of our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Grooming, sextortion, child trafficking, and the solicitation, creation, sharing, or possession of CSAM are never tolerated and result in immediate removal of content and permanent termination of the account(s) involved.
4. Reporting — in-app mechanism
Every Khetha user can report a profile, a message, or any behaviour directly inside the app, using the block and report tools available on profiles and in chat. Reports relating to child safety are treated as our highest priority. You can also report concerns to us by email at support@khetha.app.
5. How we handle CSAM
When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM, we act in accordance with these standards and the law: we remove the material, terminate the account(s) responsible, preserve the relevant information, and report it to the appropriate authorities.
6. Compliance with child safety laws
We comply with applicable child safety laws and reporting obligations. In South Africa this includes the Films and Publications Act and the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) Amendment Act. We report CSAM to the South African Police Service and, where applicable, to international bodies such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
7. Child safety point of contact
Our designated point of contact for child safety matters is reachable at support@khetha.app and is able to speak to our CSAE and CSAM prevention practices and compliance.
